I am a board–certified acupuncturist, licensed by the Washington D.C Board of Acupuncturists. As a general practitioner of acupuncture, I treat a wide variety of illnesses and concerns, which you can see on the web page called Conditions Treated by Acupuncture. In addition, I specialize in two areas of concentration: Other Specialized Training and Professional experiences include:
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, I spent over 20 years in the corporate sector as a manager, an organizational development consultant, and as a business coach to individuals. I worked with and for many large businesses and not-for-profit organizations including Ford Motor Company, Prudential Insurance, Coopers & Lybrand, Presbyterian Church U.S.A., and the Girl Scouts of America. Now I use my coaching skills to partner with clients who are seeking better health and a more balanced, centered lifestyle. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, I earned my undergraduate degree at the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio, and my Masters degree in Acupuncture from the nationally-recognized TAI Sophia institute in Columbia, Maryland. I moved to the Takoma Park/Silver Spring area over a decade ago. My partner and I are raising two teenage sons, Garrison and Byron. I am actively involved in the local business and civic community and am a sports enthusiast. |
